The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Menards is looking to buy the Menards brand from the current owner for $7.6 million.
The deal would give the company control of one of the largest swimming pools in the world, which would be a significant deal given the size of the Menard brand.
Menards’ current owners, the Walt Disney Company, acquired the Menarded brand in 2002 and have continued to operate the business, which includes a range of swimming pools and sports equipment.
The Walt Disney Co. bought Menards for $4.7 billion in 2009.
The company has since been struggling financially and has recently been buying brands and assets as it tries to revive its stock price.
